    • An electromagnetic relay of a simple structure for reliably making and breaking a high load voltage. First and second fixed contact terminals are mounted on an insulating base block. First and second branched moving pieces are attached to the lower side of a hanging portion of a spring member. When a relay coil is not excited, the first and second moving pieces are resiliently urged into contact with a back-stop plate, displaced from the first and second fixed contact elements. When the relay coil is excited, contact elements attached to the first and second moving pieces are resiliently urged into contact with respective contact elements attached to the first and second fixed contact elements, electrically connecting the respective first and second fixed contact terminals.

    • A diagnostic relay has a casing mounted on a relay base and enclosing components of the relay. The casing includes a top wall having a plurality of apertures. The apertures are aligned with contacts inside the casing. The contacts are integral with or electrically connected to relay prongs traversing the base. A diagnostician replaces a circuit relay with the diagnostic relay, then inserts probes of a circuit tester through selected apertures into engagement with the contacts to determine the location of faults in the circuit. In one embodiment, the casing is clear or transparent so the diagnostician may observe whether moving components of the diagnostic relay are operating properly.

    • The utility model discloses an alternating current contactor, including a foundation-support and a pedestal. A yoke iron on which mounts a coil unit is set inside the said foundation-support, and an armature iron and a contact unit are set in the said pedestal. The characteristics are that one side of the said foundation-support is open, and the coil unit and the yoke iron are constituted into a whole via a supporting board and buffer springs, and then it is fixed on the convex face of pulling part of the said foundation-support. A baffle plate with openings is on the top of the foundation-support, and a repelling force spring is installed between the baffle plate on the top of the foundation support and the armature iron. The coil unit can be easily inserted into or pulled out from the opening of the foundation-support, so that either repairing or replacing the coil unit become rather convenient.

    • A magnetic switch having a main motor switch for supplying power from a battery to a starter motor and an auxiliary relay for operating the motor switch is mounted on the starter motor. The main motor switch includes copper contacts switching a large amount of starter current, and the auxiliary relay includes contacts switching only a small amount of current sufficient to operate the main motor switch. The auxiliary relay is separated from the main motor switch by a wall to protect the auxiliary relay, especially its contacts from copper dusts generated in switching operation of main motor switch. Since the auxiliary relay is kept free from the copper dusts, the magnetic switch properly functions for a long time.
