    • The inventive device comprises a reactor which is embodied in such a way that it is demountable, the top stationary part thereof is fixed to a bed plate (11) and the lower part is connected to said bed plate (11) by means of fixing mechanisms through a system of seals (13). Eight auxiliary plasmotrons (6) are mounted on the level of a melting stock column (5) in the area of the corners of the internal perimeter of the reactor cross section in such a way that each pair of plasmotrons mounted on the same wall is sequentially switchable. The main plasmotrons (9) are disposed on two opposite walls of a forehearth (7) and the longitudinal axes of each pair of the opposite plasmotrons are arranged in the plane of the corner oriented towards the surface of melt.

    • The inventive reactor comprises an iron oxide material loading unit arranged in the top section thereof, a melting area provided with plasmatrons and metal and slag tapping units. The unit for loading, partially reducing and supplying the material to the melting area is embodied in the form of coaxially arranged cones, whose small bases are downward oriented and provided with a cavity which is embodied therebetween and limited by perforated walls. The external cone is rigidly fixed to the reactor body, the internal cone being arranged in such a way that it is fixedly displaceable with respect to the longitudinal axis of an actuating rod. A small cone is mounted in the lower part of the rod and the big cone which is cinematically connected to a rotary actuator is arranged in the top part thereof.
