    • PURPOSE: To detect early a cutting fault and to correct it, by transmitting a center fault signal when the center of distribution has a shift to the set value after measuring and storing the real cutting value of a cutter and at the same time by performing the operation and transmission of the corrected value and generating an alarm.
      CONSTITUTION: A cutter control circuit 3 receives the measurements detected by a member size detector 1 and the set value of a cutting value setting device 2. A cutting value measuring circuit 4 measures the cutting value, and a distribution arithmetic circuit 8 processes programmably the cutting value information by means of a statistic method to obtain the distribution of cutting value. Then a center fault signal is transmitted in case the center of distribution has a shift to the set cutting measurements; and a defect modulus fault signal is delivered in case the defect modulus obtained from the distribution exceeds the allowable defect modulus. A compensating value arithmetic circuit 9 receives the center fault signal and calculates the compensating value of the cutting position to give it to the circuit 3. An alarm generator 10 receives the defect modulus fault signal and generates an alarm or displays it. In such a way, the defect modulus is reduced and at the same time the reduction is prevented for the working efficiency.
