    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting method for an automatic voltage-controlled oscillator. SOLUTION: In a voltage-controlled oscillator having been adjusted by an adjusting stub, a 1st stub short-circuited part is disclosed, which is adhered across a conductive runner of the adjusting stub at a distance favorably longer than a distance of deriving a desired operation frequency. Here, the voltage- controlled oscillator is excited and tested to determine its operation frequency. The position of a 2nd stub short-circuited part is determined, according to the operation frequency of the oscillator, based upon the presence of the 1st stub short-circuit part, the geometrical shape of the adjusting stub, and the desired operation frequency of the voltage-controlled oscillator. The 2nd stub short-circuited part is accurately positioned along the stub, corresponding to the position of the 1st stub short-circuited part by using an automatic device, so as to derive the desirable operation frequency of the voltage-controlled oscillator. According to the relative positions of the 1st and 2nd stub short-circuited parts corresponding to the voltage-controlled oscillator, the 1st stub short- circuited part is removed. The voltage-controlled oscillator can be excited and tested again, so as to match the desirable operation frequency.
