A buffer status action is triggered based on the buffer status action and at least one of a mobility metric representing a mobility pattern of the user device (300) and a radio quality metric representing a signal strength of a radio channel carrying video packets towards the user device (300). The embodiments also relate to determination of a buffer control model (142) that can be used in order to control the video playback buffer based on the input metrics. The embodiments achieve a more efficient control of video playback buffers (303) and may reduce the risk of freezes during video playback.

Methods of the inventive subject matter include general sequencing, indirect sequencing, and direct sequencing. In indirect sequencing, each device connected to the in flight entertainment system's wireless network is actuated in a predetermined sequence such that the in flight entertainment system can record locations of the different devices connected to it and then correlate the device locations to a set of potential device locations. In direct sequencing, information from each device is manually collected in sequence and then correlated to potential device locations.

摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for simultaneously receiving DBS and data signals on a mobile platform using a single beam receive antenna aperture and transmitting data signals from a mobile platform using the single beam transmit antenna aperture. A single beam receive antenna aperture receives first RF signals having a first polarization and second RF signals having a second polarization, the single beam receive antenna aperture outputting output signals having the first polarization. A first RF converter down-converts the output signals to first down-converted signals having the first polarization. A second RF converter down-converts the output signals to second down-converted signals having the second polarization. The first RF signals suitably include DBS signals, and the second RF signals suitably include data services signals.

Localization information surrounding the autonomous vehicle is obtained at a point in time when the image is captured. A perception of an audience external to the autonomous vehicle is determined based on the image analysis and the localization information. One or more content items are received from one or more content servers over a network in response to the perception of the audience. A first content item selected from the one or more content items is displayed on a display device mounted on an exterior surface of the autonomous vehicle.

摘要： Handover of broadcast audio/video content from a first/source device via an intermediate device to a second/destination device. If moving away from the first/source device is detected by the intermediate device, the intermediate device is set up to receive the same broadcast audio/video content as received by the first/source device, and the received broadcast audio/video content is stored in a buffer memory. When presence of a second/destination is detected, the intermediate device connects to the second/destination device and starts timeshifted streaming to the second/destination device until moving away from the second/destination device is detected or until timeshift delay drops below a determined threshold e.g. due to user trick mode actions. If timeshift delay drops below the determined threshold, the intermediate device requests the second/destination device to set up reception of the broadcast audio/video content by own broadcast reception means incorporated into or associated with the second/destination device.
