    • PURPOSE:To decrease the disturbance onto an FM audio signal by providing a control circuit increasing a frequency of a carrier signal of an FM video signal at audio exclusive mode so as to widen the frequency difference between the FM video signal and the FM audio signal at the audio exclusive mode. CONSTITUTION:A low frequency FM audio signal is recorded to an audio recording part 14a being a deep layer of a tape 10, a high frequency FM video signal is recorded to a video recording part 14b being the surface layer and the carrier frequency of the FM video signal even at the recording mode for the FM audio signal only. In closing a switch S2 at the audio exclusive mode, a resistor R3 is connected in parallel with a variable resistor VR1 and an FM modulation circuit 20c for the video signal brings the frequency of the output signal to, e.g., 3.4MHz or over. Thus, the frequency difference between the FM audio signal and the FM video signal is widened and the disturbance to the reproduced FM audio signal is decreased. The recording amplifier 24 is designed so as to reduce the output level when the frequency of the recording signal is increased.
