    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an amplifier, obtaining constant output amplitude according to the amplifier of an input signal by detecting and smoothing the output signal of a voltage control amplification circuit and feeding back the gain control signal of an amplification circuit. SOLUTION: The amplitude of the input signal is detected in a level detection circuit 106 from the output of a voltage control amplification circuit 105 and is smoothed. Then, it is supplied to the control terminal (a) of the circuit 105. Thus, the gain of the circuit 105 is controlled according to the amplitude of the input signal and it is amplified, so that the amplitude of the output signal becomes almost uniform. When the amplitude of the input signal is large. For example, the amplitude of the output sound signal of the circuit 105 becomes large. Thus, the circuit 106 detects it and controls a control signal level supplied to the terminal (a) of the circuit 105, so that the gain becomes small and the gain of the circuit 105 is reduced. Thus, the amplitude of the output sound signal is reduced, and the output sound signal is made uniform. Therefore, a circuit operates as an amplitude restriction circuit.

In the case of the recording state of the video camera 3, when a zoom lens operation section 6c of an operation section 6 is operated, the attenuation of the audio control circuit 13a is maximized to record no audio signal onto the magnetic tape 2. Thus, unpleasant zoom lens operation noise is not recorded onto the magnetic tape 2. When a stop button of the operation section 6a is operated, the attenuation of the audio control circuit 13a is increased and the camera section 3 is stopped with the maximum attenuation.
