    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject compound having a wide luminous wavelength region and useful as a flaw a fluorescent penetrant layer of an electroluminescent element in good yield by reacting a specific zinc compound with a specified napthalimide derivative in an organic solvent and then treating the resultant compound with an inorganic acid. SOLUTION: (A) A zinc compound represented by formula I (Y to Y are each H, a halogen or the like; X and X are each a halogen) (e.g. a compound represented by formula II) is reacted with (B) a naphthalimide derivative represented by formula III (Y to Y are each H, a halogen or the like) (e.g. naphthalene-1,8-dicarboximide) at 1-3 molar ratio of the component B based on the component A in an organic solvent such as N,N-dimethylaniline, preferably at 140-180 deg.C for 5-10 hr and then treating the resultant compound with an inorganic acid such as hydrochloric acid, preferably at 80-98 deg.C usually for 0.1-10 hr to afford the objective compound represented by formula IV (R to R are each H, a halogen or the like) (e.g. a compound represented by formula V).

      SOLUTION: This polyamic acid solution containing a dye comprises an organic dye and a solution of a polyamic acid having a repeating structural unit expressed by formula (1) (where R represents a 4-27C four-valent group selected from the group consisting of aliphatic group, monocyclic aliphatic group, condensed polycyclic aliphatic group, monocyclic aromatic group, condensed polycyclic aromatic group, alicyclic group, or non-condensed polycyclic aliphatic group or aromatic group where cyclic aliphatic groups or aromatic groups are linked each other directly or via bridging member). The polyimide- based color-toning film is obtained by imidizing these polyamic acid solutions.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely read the content of information, and to prevent the error or forgery of reading by allowing a light emission mark containing a single light emitting material which emits a light by an excitation light in an ultraviolet area and a near infrared area to emit a light by each excitation light, detecting a light emission, and reading information written in the emission mark. SOLUTION: An operation such as printing, coating, and attachment is performed by using a light emission ink or light emission sheet containing a single light emitting material which emits a light with an excitation light in an ultraviolet area and a near infrared area to a base material, and necessary information is added by a mark such as a bar code so that the light emitting carrier is obtained. The light emission is detected by radiating the light emission mark of the light emitting carrier with an excitation light in ultraviolet area. Then, light emission is detected by irradiating the same position with an excitation light in near infrared area. It is confirmed that each information detected by the two excitation lights is the same. Compounds indicated by the formula are desired as the light emission materials to be used. In the formula, each of R -R independently indicates hydrogen atom, etc.

For example, a zinc complex represented by formula III can be obtained by heating phthalimide with quinaldine, zinc chloride and N,N-dimethylaniline, further adding pyridine thereto and heating the resultant mixture as the component A.
