    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition having a high frictional coefficient between metals, excellent shudder preventing performance and suitable as automatic transmission oil and/or continuously variable transmission oil.
      SOLUTION: In the lubricant composition, (A) (a1) an alkyl succinic imide borate and/or an alkenyl succinic imide borate having a weight average molecular weight of 1,000 to 20,000 or a mixture of (a1) the alkyl succinic imide borate and/or the alkenyl succinic imide borate and (a2) an alkyl succinic imide non-borate and/or an alkenyl succinic imide non-borate is contained at 0.005 to 0.1 mass% and 0.01 to 0.4 mass% as a boron amount (BoA) and a nitrogen amount, respectively, and (B) a metal based cleaner having a 6-60C straight chain alkyl group derived from an ethylene oligomer and 100 to 500 mg KOH/g base number is contained at 0.01 to 0.5 mass% as a metal amount (MeB) in a lubricant base oil on the basis of sum total composition.
