摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet ink (IJI) excellent in dispersion stability and discharge stability together with fastness of images, friction resistance and color development, and giving a recorded product having high print concentration without bleeding images, obtain a microencapsulated pigment (MCP), provide a method for producing the same and obtain an aqueous dispersion. SOLUTION: The MCP is produced by coating the pigment having hydrophilic groups on the surface with a polymer by emulsion polymerization. The method for producing the MCP comprises coating the pigment particles having the hydrophilic groups on the surface with the polymer which is obtained by emulsion polymerization in the presence of the pigment particles. The glycerin and the diethylene glycol are mixed so as to satisfy the condition of following formula (i): 0.24≤DEG/(Gly+DEG)≤0.92, where Gly is a mixture amount (wt.%) of the glycerin to the total amount of the water-based ink, and DEG is a blending amount (wt.%) of the diethylene glycol to the total amount of the water-based ink.
