    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording water-based ink capable of suppressing increase in viscosity after short-term drying and long-term drying and excellent in redispersibility.SOLUTION: An inkjet recording water-based ink comprises: a colorant including a self-dispersion type pigment modified with a carboxylic acid group; water; a humectant including glycerin and diethylene glycol; a penetrant including alkylene glycol monoalkyl ether. The glycerin and the diethylene glycol are mixed so as to satisfy the condition of following formula (i): 0.24≤DEG/(Gly+DEG)≤0.92, where Gly is a mixture amount (wt.%) of the glycerin to the total amount of the water-based ink, and DEG is a blending amount (wt.%) of the diethylene glycol to the total amount of the water-based ink.
