    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine fingerprint quality through a combination of the strength of ridge flow, with ridge flow continuity and with adjacent image contrast by detecting the ridge flow independently of resolution.SOLUTION: A method for determining the quality of a fingerprint image receives an image (S305).
