摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pattern forming apparatus and a pattern forming method that can stably form a pattern.SOLUTION: The supply of negative pressure to an opening P(+1) adjacent to an opening P(0) is stopped by switching a suction valve connected to the opening P(+1) from an opened state to a closed state while keeping a positive pressure valve connected thereto closed. Then, near the opening P(+1), force for holding a blanket BL against pressure force in a pressurized space SP5 is gradually weakened. Associated with that, a gas component in the pressurized space SP5 flows into a space between a part of the blanket BL vertically above the opening P(+1) and an upper surface 51a, whereby the blanket part is lifted from the upper surface 51a and brought into contact with the lower surface of a plate PP. In this way, a contact area CA is slowly and stably widened from the central part to a (+Y) edge side while suppressing a sudden change of pressure in the pressurized space SP5.

CONSTITUTION:The movement and moving speed adjustment of a printing plate mounting table 3 or a head 6 with an impression cylinder 8 mounted are performed by an air cylinder 9 connected to a compressor 50 and a pressure adjustment means. Then the printing speed, stopping of the movement of the printing-plate-mounting table 3 or the head 6, and the return of the plate 4 or impression cylinder 8 to a home position after printing are controlled. For this reason, the process of stop -high speed movement-slowdown-stop can be performed accurately and simply, and also a drive for movement be made extremely rigid. Consequently it is possible to obtain a desired printing speed always and stable reproducibility, even if the printing device is used for a long time.
