摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a shellfish having a pearl layer, since there are examples in which noctilucence shellfish is cut with a flat site to be used as a material of mother-of-pearl work and pearl oyster shellfish is used with both faces of a flat site to be provided with an accessory, but there is no example in which a shellfish body is pearl-layered as a craft object conventionally.
SOLUTION: In order to protect the exposed pearl layer, oil is coated, thereby applying an oil film. Further, a shell is immersed in acids to dissolve the skin thereof. However, a difference in dissolution rate occurs owing to a difference in thickness of an abalone skin. In order to solve a difference in dissolution rate, the dissolved site is peeled using sand blasting or the like and then the oil film is applied.
