    • PURPOSE: Provided are method for detecting senescent cells using amphiphysin 1 protein and its gene, a composition for restoring a physiological function of senescent cells and a method for restoring a physiological function of senescent cells. CONSTITUTION: The method for detecting senescent cells in mammal cells is characterized by measuring the decrease of amphiphysin 1 protein being in mammal cells with western blotting analysis, or by measuring the decrease of mRNA of amphiphysin 1 protein being in mammal cells with northern blotting analysis. The composition for restoring a physiological function of senescent cells contains an expression vector having amphiphysin 1 gene of SEQ ID NO:1 as an active ingredient. The physiological function of senescent cells can be restored by introducing the vector having amphiphysin 1 gene into senescent cells of a mammal.

    • PURPOSE: Provided is a method for detecting senescent cells particularly by using caveolin. Also, provided is a composition inducing a senescent state of cells and containing an expression vector for eukaryote into which caveolin gene is inserted. Further, provided is a method for inducing a senescent state of cells by using the composition. CONSTITUTION: The method for detecting senescent cells in mammals is characterized by measuring the increase of caveolin protein being in mammal cells, with western blotting analysis. The composition inducing senescent state of mammal cells contains an expression vector for eukaryote as an active ingredient. The caveolin gene has an amino acid-coding sequence of SEQ ID NO:2. The senescent state of mammal cells is induced by transforming them with the vector containing caveolin gene.
