    • PURPOSE: A process for preparing alkylphosphonate monoesters is provided, thereby environment-friendly and economically preparing alkylphosphonate monoesters in higher yield within a short period. CONSTITUTION: The process for preparing alkylphosphonate monoesters comprises the steps of: partially hydrolyzing alkyl phosphonate diester with alkaline compound in first solvent containing alcohol and water to prepare a reaction mixture; diluting the reaction mixture with second solvent containing one or more of nonpolar organic solvent to prepare an organic phase containing 95 wt.% of alkylphosphate monoester; and acidifying the reaction mixture with acid; the nonpolar organic solvent is synthetic oil, mineral oil or a mixture thereof; and the acid is mineral acid, carboxylic acid, phosphoric acid, phosphorous acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, perchloric acid, sulfuric acid, and a mixture thereof.
