    • PURPOSE: A method for sorting a cultured epithelial cell layer is provided to control calcium concentration by calcium pulse and to maximize skin regeneration. CONSTITUTION: A method for sorting a cultured epithelial cell layer comprises: a step of culturing keratinocytes in a basal medium; a step of changing the medium into a calcium medium of high content; a step of changing the medium into a basal medium; a step of removing basal medium and washing with a buffer solution; a step of exposing the washed keratinocytes to the air; and a step of adding a fresh buffer solution. The calcium medium contains 1.2-1.4 mM of CaCl_2.
