    • An elapsed event recorder for counting a series of reoccurring events and stamping on a record card indicia representing the accumulated event count. The recorder has a count accumulating register mounted within a housing and including a set of rotary marking wheels which are driven in stepwise rotation like odometer wheels in response to the successive events being recorded in such away that the wheels accumulate the event count. The recorder is operable at random intervals to engage the marking wheels with the record card in such a way as to stamp on the card indicia representing the event count currently accumulated in the register. Return of the marking wheels to their normal recording position resets the wheels to zero to condition the register for the next recording cycle.

    • An electromagnetically operated register is disclosed of the type having a U-shaped pole piece with one leg extending through the coil. The armature is linked to a separate ratchet arm, which is formed of plastic or other lightweight material and biased to the locking position by a leaf spring. The core slidably engages in the frame and serves as the support for the coil and as a keeper for the ratchet-operating mechanism, with a single pin retaining these components in assembled relation with the frame. The number wheels and index pinions comprise a subassembly, including the two pinion axles, having journal and snap engagement with the main frame.

    • An electromagnetic counter for digitally counting applied signal pulse numbers, including resetting mechanism for simultaneously resetting a series of digit wheels to their zero position. Actuating force for the resetting mechanism is applied to a rockable first lever, which has the same number of resetting arms as that of the digit wheels for rotating them to zero position and a lever arm for rotating a rotatable frame supporting a series of pinions engaged between each of the digit wheels into pinions'' disengaging position. There is provided between the lever arm of the first lever and the rotatable frame a second lever pivoted at its respective ends to them for transmitting the actuating force. The pivoting point of the first lever, respective pivoting points between the first and second levers and the second lever and rotatable pinion frame are substantially aligned on a straight line so as to make repulsing torque given to the pinions from the digit wheels to be small.

    • A component assembly for electrical numerical display comprising a respective U-shaped housing for each respective numerical display tube which is arranged behind a transparent cover disk. There is also provided at least one stationary circuit board having contact track means leading to contact terminals, the current-conducting track means being disposed in at least one plane of the circuit board and the contact terminals being situated along and in proximity to a housing wall at the opposite side of the cover disk and extending transverse to the plane of the circuit board. The U-shaped housings are constructed to be arranged in a row to form a module or assembly of such housings and for the application thereto of closure plates. These closure plates are equipped with protruding retaining spring means which in cooperation with flanged edge means of the housing and the closure plates permit the insertion and mechanical retention of the entire row of housings in a cutout or recess of the front plate of a suitable apparatus with which the assembly is used. Furthermore, a respective connection pin is mechanically and electrically coupled with the associated contact terminal of each current-conducting track, this connection pin extending transversely through the aforementioned housing wall and being mechanically retained thereat.
