    • A display device includes a panel assembly, a backlight unit supplying light to the panel assembly, a first photosensor, a second photosensor, a sensing signal processor and a signal controller. The first photosensor is supplied with ambient light and light from the backlight unit to generate a first sensing signal. The second photosensor is blocked from the ambient light and receives the light from the backlight unit to generate a second sensing signal. The sensing signal processor receives the first and the second sensing signals from the first and the second photosensors for processing. The signal controller determines a sensing state responsive to processed first and second sensing signals from the sensing signal processor and performing a predetermined control operation responsive to the sensing state.

    • In accordance with one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, a display device includes a driver, a main display panel that receives an image signal from the driver to display an image and that is substantially fixed to the driver, a backlight assembly that is disposed between the main display panel and the driver to radiate light to a rear surface of the main display panel, and a sub-display panel that receives a image signal from the driver to display an image and that can be moved. The display device includes a first mode, in which the sub-display panel is disposed to be opposite to a rear surface of the main display panel, and a second mode, in which the sub-display panel is disposed to be opposite to a front surface of the main display panel.

As a result, the touch determining operation on the sensing units can be accurately performed, so that it is possible to improve reliability of the sensing units.
