    • The present embodiments relate to a displacement apparatus for a C-arm arranged on a trolley. The displacement apparatus includes at least a first and at least a second guide element arranged in a plane, whereby the first and second guide elements are arranged at right angles to one another, a first displacement device which can be moved along the first guide element, and a second displacement device, which can be moved along the second guide element. A linking device connects the first and second displacement device in such a way that any movement of the first displacement device will result in the second displacement device being moved along the second guide element. This avoids the possibility of any jamming which may arise as a consequence of the leverage forces generated when a C-arm is moved.

    • A glass container has a faceplate, a side tube, and a bottom. A photocathode is formed on the inner side of the faceplate. The glass container includes a partitioning wall, a shield electrode, a first dynode, a second dynode, a dynode array, and an anode. The partitioning wall has a cross shape to divide an electron focusing space into four space segments. The shield electrode is provided to shield the second dynode from the photocathode. A Venetian blind type of dynodes is provided as the dynode array. The first dynode, the second dynode, the dynode array, and the anode are maintained at the potential which is higher than that of the photocathode. Electrons emitted from the photocathode in response to incident light thereon efficiently impinge on the dynodes regardless of where the electrons are emitted. The electrons are multiplied and then detected by the anode.

    • A support and radiation therapy system is provided. The support includes an elongated support arm that is longitudinally adjustable. A first arm is rotatable in the support arm about a first axis that is perpendicular to the support arm. A flat detector is rotatable in the first arm about a second axis that is parallel to the first axis. The detector is essentially parallel to the support arm. A motor is operative to drive the rotation of the first arm. A first gear is operative to rotate the first arm and is connected to the motor. A second gear is operative to rotate the detector and is connected to the motor. The second gear is operative to rotate contrary to the first gear.
