On the other hand, when those are at positions other than the predetermined position, the coupling port 63C and the slit 610 are not communicated with one another, thereby cutting off the connection between the regulator oil containing region and the sensitive region, and therefore, it is possible to easily perform a pressure regulation even in a high-temperature and high-pressure environment.

    • A valve comprising a body and a plug is disclosed. The body has a pair of ports and a tubular structure having a side wall and an open end and defining interiorly a first subchamber communicating with one port. The wall has an opening. The body defines a second subchamber communicating with the other port, extending around the wall and beyond the end to communicate with the end and the opening. The plug has an opening, is mounted to the structure and telescopes between first and second positions. At the second position, the plug is disposed at least partly in the second subchamber and the valve defines, between the ports: a first flow path through the wall opening; and a second flow path through the open end of the structure, via the plug opening. At the first position, the plug and structure restrict flow through the first and second paths.

    • A cage valve for reduced erosion at the outlet bore. The valve is of the type having flow trim arranged transverse to the inlet bore and aligned with the outlet bore, the flow trim including a stationary tubular cage and an external cylindrical flow collar slidable along the side wall of the cage to cover or uncover one or more pairs of main flow ports in the cage side wall.     • Illustrated is a cartridge type solenoid valve with a coil-actuator structure which employs O-ring seals to inhibit harsh environment entry into the coil-actuator and allows for metal to metal contact with the frame to increase the flux density and path for flux when the valve is in operation. A plastic over mould is encapsulated over the metal frame (in one embodiment a sleeve) which is shaped to provide efficient magnetic flux carrying capability, as well as abut a flux connector, e.g. a disc adapted to capture an O-ring. The O-ring is in sealing contact with a capture element, e.g. a nut on the projecting extended end of an insertable cartridge having an internal plug, environmentally sealing the coil. When the capture nut is assembled on to the plug, in sealing engagement with the O-ring and simultaneously engaging the plug, an increased efficiency flux path is created. The lead wire termination version includes cold forming or latched caps over lead wires to provide environmental (or dunk) sealing.
