    • A conversion block for converting porting from a brake control valve to an electronic control unit so as to allow for electronic control of an air braking system for a train. This conversion block has particular utility for converting 26 porting and is one part of the entire unit that allows access to 26-Type equipment for the purpose of overlaying features with an electronic controlled pneumatic braking system. The conversion block provides access to porting to allow all of the advantages of electronic controlled braking to take effect such as shorter stopping distances, system performance feedback, and continuous recharging features. The present invention also provides access to the necessary porting through hook-ups on the conversion block so as to perform a single car test of the braking equipment within a remote mounting arrangement of a 26-Type braking system.

    • The present invention for a construction machine includes a control knob which is connected to a brake pedal and located remotely therefrom within an operator's compartment. The control knob depresses the brake pedal a predetermined amount to achieve neutralization of the hydrostatic transmission. Neutralization of the hydrostatic transmission is presently available by continuous direct application of the brake pedal. The control knob is adjustable within a plurality of positions to set a selected ground speed which, in turn, allows for increased hydraulic power availability to an implement achieved through the hydrostatic transmission neutralization. An electrical circuit is provided that includes a limit switch which overrides the actuation of a brake light signal unless an operator directly applies pressure to the brake pedal. Therefore, the brake light signal is not actuated during the remote setting of the control knob. The ability to remotely neutralize the hydrostatic transmission and maintain a set ground speed for increased implement control eliminates the need for continuous direct application of the brake pedal which increases operator flexibility and freedom and decreases operator fatigue.

In a preferred embodiment, the toy vehicle is provided with a radio controlled alarm relay circuit activated by a hand held transmitter, the alarm really being connected in series between the battery and the reversible electric motor in a manner such that when the alarm relay is open all power is disconnected from the reversible electric motor.

An initial static pressure is formed within the cavity for pre-stressing the components and providing for no-backlash adjustment.     • A control lever of a column-mounted control device for an automatic transmission is installed on a steering column in such a way as to be rotatable in the circumferential direction of the steering column for selection of gears. A location mechanism is operative to releasably limit rotation of the control lever in the circumferential direction of the steering column and locates the control lever in one of gear positions including a stoppage gear. The control lever is released from the above described limitation in rotation in the circumferential direction of the steering column when pulled toward a driver's seat. A location sensor is operative to detect that the above described limitation in rotation of the control lever is performed in the stoppage gear by the location mechanism and produce a stoppage signal representative thereof. A brake sensor is operative to detect a braking operation and produce a braking signal representative thereof. A shift lock mechanism prevents the pulling of the control lever toward the driver's seat and disables the control lever from being released from the above described limitation in rotation by the location means when receiving the stoppage signal only. When the shift lock mechanism receives both of the stoppage signal and the braking signal, it allows the pulling of the control lever toward the driver's seat and enables the control lever from being released from the above described limitation in rotation by the location mechanism.
