摘要： A combination lock includes a lock body, a shaft secured within the lock body, and a plurality of coaxially aligned rotary lock elements rotatable about the shaft. Each rotary lock element includes an inner peripheral hub disposed on the shaft and including a radial bore extending from an outer periphery of the hub to an inner periphery of the hub, and an outer peripheral wheel surrounding the hub. A shaft engaging member a wheel engaging member are disposed in the radial bore, with the wheel engaging member extending partially outward of the outer periphery of the hub for engagement with one of a plurality of inner peripheral pockets in the wheel to rotationally fix the wheel with the hub. When the locking shaft is moved from a normal operating position to a code change position, the shaft engaging member of each dial is partially receivable in a corresponding recess in the locking shaft, and the wheel engaging member is receivable into the radial bore to rotationally disengage the wheel from the corresponding hub.

摘要： A lock assembly includes a lock body and a U-shaped shackle having a curved portion extending between first and second legs receivable in first and second shackle apertures in an upper portion of the lockbox body. The shackle has a guard wall affixed to an interior surface of the curved portion, the guard wall defining an interior arcuate wall surface extending forward and rearward from a central plane bisecting the shackle. The upper portion of the lock body includes first and second protruding projections at least partially surrounding the first and second shackle apertures and defining first and second upwardly diverging interior surfaces laterally aligned with the curved portion of the shackle. The lock body includes a latching mechanism configured to secure the shackle in a plurality of latched positions to adjust a distance between the first and second upwardly diverging interior surfaces and the curved portion of the shackle. When the shackle is secured around a door handle with the shackle secured in a suitable one of the plurality of latched positions, abutment of the interior arcuate wall surface with a neck portion of the door handle impedes forward and rearward rotation of the lock assembly about a horizontal axis extending through the curved portion of the shackle and abutment of the first and second upwardly diverging interior surfaces with a neck portion of the door handle impedes side-to-side twisting rotation of the lock assembly about a vertical axis extending through the curved portion of the shackle.

摘要： In a method of monitoring lockout procedures, a first lockout device is secured with a first component in a lockout condition to block operation of the first component, and a corresponding first data signal is received, with the first data signal including at least a first identification code corresponding to the first lockout device. A second lockout device is secured with a second component in a lockout condition to block operation of the second component, and a corresponding second data signal is received, with the second data signal including at least a second identification code corresponding to the second lockout device. The first and second data signals are monitored to determine an order in which the first and second lockout devices have been locked out, which is compared with a predefined lockout procedure. An alert is provided if the order is inconsistent with the predefined lockout procedure.

Authentication includes transmitting a request to a locking device, transmitting a security challenge to the mobile device, and transmitting a response to the challenge and an encrypted user profile for the locking device. The response includes data generated with an access key that is stored by both the mobile device and the locking device, and the user profile is encrypted by a server using a secret key that is stored by the server and the locking device. Authentication further includes verifying the response to the challenge, where the response is verified using the access key, and validating additional data from the mobile device. An action of the locking device may be initiated as specified by the request.

The first and second lockout members are pivotable with respect to each other to a lockout position for engagement of the base walls of the first and second lockout members with facing surfaces of a handle and a handle latch of the handle assembly. When the first and second lockout members are secured between the handle and the handle latch in the lockout position, the first and second lockout members block movement of the handle latch to prevent rotational movement of the handle assembly.
