摘要： An electronic door lock system automatically controls locking and unlocking of a door. A door lock controller interfaces with an electronic door lock, sends messages including door lock data to a local receiver, and receives messages including door lock commands from the local receiver. In turn, the local receiver interfaces with a hub device through a mesh network. The hub receives the door lock data, applies a rule set to make lock operation decisions, and sends messages, which may comprise commands to operate the door lock, through the mesh network to the local receiver. The local receiver decodes the messages and passes the commands to the door lock controller to automatically control the electronic door lock.

摘要： An electronic key including an internal power source is provided for transferring electrical power to a merchandise security device to operate a mechanical lock mechanism. In one embodiment, the key transfers power to the device via electrical contacts disposed on a transfer probe of the electronic key and corresponding electrical contacts disposed within a transfer port of the device when the transfer probe engages the transfer port. In another embodiment, the key transfers power to the device via inductive transfer as a result of passing an electrical current through an inductive coil disposed within the transfer probe to generate a magnetic field in the vicinity of a corresponding inductive coil disposed within the transfer port and thereby induce an electric current in the inductive coil of the device. In other embodiments, the electronic key is programmed with a security code and the key initially programs the merchandise security device with the security code and subsequently determines whether the security code of the key matches the security code of the device to permit the key to transfer power to the device.

摘要： The various technologies presented herein relate to detection of a lock is being tampered with, cut, removed, etc. An electrical circuit can be incorporated into a lock portion and a securing portion (e.g., a bar, a cable, etc.) of the lock. The electrical circuit can include a conductive element located along the length of the bar, cable, etc., with an electrical charge applied to the conductive element. Upon damage to the conductive element, e.g., during an attempt to cut or remove the lock, a change in the electrical charge from an initial state can be determined, which can further generate an alarm. The alarm can be a light, speaker, etc. An alarm notification can be transmitted from the lock to a remote device, e.g., a mobile phone, a central monitoring system, etc. A trembler switch can be incorporated into the lock to detect movement of the lock.

The tightening mechanism includes a housing having a flip-up handle for tightening the ratchet mechanism to tighten the cable.
