    • The thermoplastic elastomer composition includes (A) a polypropylene resin, (B) a non-conjugated diene copolymer having a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, 125° C.) of 40 to 85 and a molecular weight distribution of 1.5 to 3.0 and whose eluted amount at −15° C. measured by cross-fractionation chromatography is 50% to 99.9% of the overall eluted amount, and (C) an ethylene copolymer having a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, 125° C.) of 20 to 30 and a density of 0.850 g/cm3 to 0.890 g/cm3. The content of (A) is 40% by weight to 70% by weight. The combined content of (B) and (C) is 30% by weight to 60% by weight. The ratio of the content of (B) to the content of (C) is 1.1 to 20. The composition exhibits good dimension stability during its molding process. A molded article superior in tensile strength, low temperature impact resistance, and rigidity can be obtained from the composition.

    • A process for producing thermoplastic vulcanizates, the process comprising (i) dynamically vulcanizing a rubber with a curative in a first stage, where the rubber is within a blend that includes the rubber, a thermoplastic resin, and the curative, where said step of dynamically vulcanizing occurs at a temperature at or above the melting point of the thermoplastic resin, where said step of dynamically vulcanizing employs a peroxide curative, and where said rubber includes polymeric units deriving from 5-vinyl-2-norbornene, (ii) continuing said step of dynamically vulcanizing to cause phase inversion of the blend to thereby convert the thermoplastic resin into a continuous phase, (iii) maintaining the blend at or above the melting point of the thermoplastic resin after the phase inversion, and (iv) introducing molten thermoplastic resin into the blend in a second stage, where said step of introducing molten thermoplastic resin occurs after phase inversion but before the blend is cooled to a temperature below the melting point of the thermoplastic resin.

    • Disclosed is a polyethylene composition having faster crystallization rate and improved environmental stress cracking resistance. The polyethylene composition comprises a multimodal polyethylene and a nucleating agent. The multimodal polyethylene comprises from 25 to 50 wt % of a low molecular weight ethylene homopolymer component, from 25 to 50 wt % of a medium molecular weight ethylene copolymer component and from 25 to 50 wt % of a high molecular weight ethylene copolymer component. The polyethylene composition has an environmental stress cracking resistance (ASTM D1693, Condition B in 100% Igepal) greater than or equal to 40 days and a crystallization half time less than or equal to 70% of the crystallization half time of the multimodal polyethylene without nucleating agent.
