    • An exercise assisting apparatus has a seat with a contact surface of which position is varied within an adjustable range defined by a user's physique in order to successfully adjust the user's knee at a desired bent angle irrespective of the user's height. The seat 21 bears the buttock of the user M with the user's feet resting on a foot supporting surface on top of a foot stand 40. The seat 21 is displaced by a seat driver 50 with a motor in a direction of varying the user's weight acting on the legs of the user M. The seat 21 is driven by an elevator mechanism 60 to move up and down together with the seat driver 50.     • An electrostatically atomizing device in this invention comprises an emitter electrode, cooling means, and a high voltage source. The emitter electrode has a rode and a discharge head which is formed at one axial end of the rod. The cooling means is coupled in a heat transfer relation to one axial end of the rod away from the discharge head in order to cool the emitter electrode for condensation of water thereon from within a surrounding air. The high voltage source is configured to apply a high voltage to the emitter electrode for electrostatically atomizing the water on the discharge head. The emitter electrode includes a flange which is provided at a juncture between the discharge head and the rod to extend radially outwardly of the discharge head and the rod over an entire circumference of the discharge head. The discharge head is tapered to have an outwardly bulged side contour.

    • A vehicle-mounted load controller is characterized by including: a power terminal connected to a power line through a fuse; load connecting portions to which loads having vehicle-mounted light sources are connected; switches which are provided corresponding to the load connecting portions and which control states of power supply from the power line connected to the power terminal to the light sources connected to the load connecting portions; and a control unit which controls the switches in response to inputted control signals. A rise in lamp voltage during a period from the start of lighting to the establishment of stable lighting is reduced with consideration given to a history of lighting conditions for stable lighting. This produces effects such as increasing the lives of lamps and reducing the frequency of occurrence of arc jumping.
