Here, a determination of a detection of a defective object to be replaced by a replacement pattern in a frame of a sequence of image frames as a misdetection is presented that comprises determining a value of a first similarity measure between a boundary of the detected defective object and a boundary of the replacement pattern and determining a value of a second similarity measure between the detected defective object and the replacement pattern. The detection of the defective object is determined as a misdetection if at least one of the following holds true: the value of the first similarity measure is outside of a corresponding first similarity acceptance range and the value of the second similarity measure is inside of a corresponding second similarity acceptance range.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to method and apparatus for image recovery and image correction. In an embodiment, the present disclosure relates to recovering images that are occluded due to some material in the optical path while capturing the images. The detection of noisy region is performed by taking the residual image between the images yielded by large sized and small sized Gaussian window smoothening filters on red, green and blue channels. The recovery of the image that alleviates the noise is obtained by point-wise multiplication of the above said residue image with a suitably synthesized Gaussian distributed co-efficient of same size.

A low-resolution image generation unit performs multi-resolution transformation on the three-dimensional image, and generates a low resolution image. A first extraction unit extracts a specific area, such as the liver region, from the low resolution image by using a graph cut method. An outline area setting unit sets the outline of the liver region extracted from the low resolution image in the three-dimensional image, and sets an outline area including the outline in the three-dimensional image. A second extraction unit extracts the outline of the liver region from the outline area, and also extracts the liver region from the three-dimensional image.
