    • A momentary switch of miniature size having a block of dielectric material providing a substrate and a pair of circuit paths defined by uninsulated wires mounted to the block, the ends of the wires forming switch poles, a resilient spring made from a wire mounted on the block, one end of the resilient spring normally engaged on a first switch pole, and a plunger reciprocatingly received in an opening of said block and displaceable into engagement on the spring to urge it forcefully into engagement with the second pole in opposition to the resilient action of said spring to interrupt a first electrical circuit through one of the wires and to complete a second electrical circuit through the second wire.

    • An electronic momentary switch operable for initiating current flow in solid state circuit means in response to movement of depressible switch button means. The electronic momentary switch means includes circuit means electrically connected to the solid state circuit means. The electrical circuit means includes a number of space conductive contacts detailed in location to normally prevent current flow, therethrough. Insulation means having a number of cut out openings corresponding to the number and location of the conductive contacts. A deformable conductive resilient elastromeric means is supported on the depressible switch button means and positioned above the openings in the insulation means whereby depressing movement of the switch button means will deform the conductive resilient means, such that the conductive resilient means is deformed through the openings in the insulation member and into contact with the conductive contacts, whereby electrical current can flow through the spaced contacts for biasing the solid state circuit from an off noncurrent conducting condition to an on, or momentarily closed, current conducting position. The switch button means is constructed of a clear transparent housing and includes light mounted therein, with the light being illuminated in response to movement of the solid state circuit means to an on current conducting position. In the second embodiment the switch is shown with a plurality of circumferentially spaced terminals which are closed or shunted momentarily, operating with an alphanumeric indicator, such as light emitting diodes or Nixie tubes. By selection of the arrangement of the apertures in an insulation sheet, selective lighting of the indicator is provided.

    • A contact arrangement comprises two inner contacts which can be moved relatively to each other, and two immovable outer contacts. The inner contacts comprise a contact carrier and a contact piece, and the outer contact comprises a contact carrier and a ring-shaped high-current piece. The high-current contact pieces surround the contact pieces of the inner contacts and partially surround the contact carriers of the inner contacts and are spaced at a distance therefrom. The inner contact pieces are arranged eccentrically with respect to the longitudinal axis of the contact carrier at the latter, in such a way that a narrow gap will exist on one of the sides of the passage from the highcurrent contact piece to the contact carrier, between the inner contact pieces to the contact carrier, between the inner contact pieces and the high-current contact pieces, and the position of the inner contact can be firmly adjusted within an angular range of 0* through 30*, with respect to the passage. The high-current contact pieces are furthermore provided with a slot on the other side of the junction with the contact carrier. On one hand, the slots of the high-current contact pieces and, on the other hand, the inner contact pieces are arranged symmetrically opposite each other.

    • A high voltage relay is provided in which the operating components of the relay are enclosed in a sealed envelope which may be evacuated. The relay to be described is a miniaturized high voltage relay capable, for example, of operating at voltages up to 5 kilo-volts, and in conjunction with relatively high frequencies. The envelope of the relay is composed of ceramic, and the relay is capable of efficient operation in wide extremes of ambient temperatures. The relay includes a linearly movable contact which makes connection with a fixed common electrical terminal through a resilient diaphragm which is constructed to permit free linear reciprocal movement of the movable contact and yet maintain a positive electric current to the common terminal.
