    • The present invention discloses a communications network system including more than one type of communications network and a centralized subscriber database connected with the more than one type of communications network. The centralized subscriber database is able to process calls accessed via a communications network based on the subscriber data and send back the processing result of the calls to the communications network, which will re-route the calls based on the processing result thereof. Based on the above communications network system, this invention also discloses methods for flexible number plan, various simple services, smooth transfer of PHS subscribers to a 3G network, and short message communications based on flexible number plan.

    • The present disclosure is related to a method for monitoring upstream burst performance in a point to multi-point access network. The method comprises: determining the expected time of the upstream data burst from the current terminal end (TE) reaching the head end (HE) using the timeslot assigned to the current TE, monitoring the actual time of the upstream data burst from the current TE reaching the HE, calculating and saving the difference between the expected time and the actual time of the upstream data burst from the current TE reaching the HE; calculating and outputting whether the difference is equal to or exceeds the TE's performance index value for the predetermined monitoring terms. The method provided by the present disclosure may monitor upstream burst performance of the entire network and discover the TEs with potential malfunctions, to effectively improve the network's stability.

    • Disclosed is a method for transmitting Ethernet service signals in a Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) network, including: a Center receiving Ethernet service signals and transmitting the signals to a transmission channel; a receiving station receives the Ethernet service signals, performs a space-division cross operation upon the received signals, duplicates the signals into two copies, where one is locally downloaded while the other is returned to the transmission channel. Three devices for processing the Ethernet service signals in the WDM network are provided. With the present invention, the broadcast of the Ethernet service signals with large granularity is implemented, therefore decreasing the delay for broadcast the real-time services; besides, it is not necessary anymore to construct a overlapped network with three layers of devices, i.e. a WDM system, a Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) system and a data device, so the network structure is simplified and management is convenient.
