    • A method for allocating bearer network resources is disclosed, which includes: each bearer network resource manager deciding after receiving a QoS resource request whether the destination user of the QoS resource request is an intra-domain user, if yes, selecting an intra-domain LSP, allocating resources on the selected intra-domain LSP, and terminating the procedure; otherwise selecting an inter-domain LSP based on the inter-domain routing policy pre-configured in the bearer network resource manager, and allocating resources on the selected inter-domain LSP; then selecting an intra-domain LSP based on the information of the selected inter-domain LSP and the service information, and allocating resources on the selected intra-domain LSP; and sending the QoS resource request with the information of the selected inter-domain LSP carried in to the downstream bearer network resource manager. This invention makes it possible for the operator to allocate resources according to a routing policy.

    • System and method for resource admission and control is disclosed. The system for resource admission and control includes an interface unit for application function unit configured to receive service request sent from the application function unit; a policy decision function unit configured to identify the type of an access network according to the service request received by the interface unit for the application function unit and select corresponding service logic for resource admission and control according to the identified type of access network. According to the technical solutions, no matter the request for resource is made to a fixed access network defined in TISPAN, or to a wireless access network defined in the 3GPP, the policy decision function unit xPDF may identify the type of the access network and select corresponding service logic to perform resource admission and control. The xPDF conceals the details of the access network from the AF such that the solution for network construction can be simplified and the system maintenance may become simple and convenient.

    • The embodiments of this invention disclose a method and system for forwarding traffic in a bearer network. The method includes: a CA related to a service call instructing a bearer network resource manager managed by the CA to allocate a QoS policy and reserve resources for the service call; the bearer network resource manager issuing the QoS policy to an edge device in a management domain managed by the bearer network resource manager; the edge device forwarding traffic matching the QoS policy after bearer network resource managers managed by CAs related to the service call successfully allocate QoS policies and reserve resources. With the embodiments of this invention, the bearer network may be controlled precisely whether to forward traffic, and thus it may be avoided effectively that traffic is imported into the bearer network before the service connection is established so as to acquire exact service data amount.

    • A method, device and system for managing resources in networks are provided, which relate to the field of data communication. The method includes the following steps. A resource manager (RM) sends a first request message according to a received resource request message, to request an access node (AN) to perform admission control. After receiving an admission control result indicating whether a resource requested by the resource request message is admitted, the RM sends a response message of the resource request message.
