摘要： A method is provided for automated tuning and calibration of feedback control of systems and processes. A series of actuator pulses are automatically performed and, based on the gradient of the sensor response, information is determined on the dynamics of the system to be controlled in what is described as the system identification procedure. An automatic sensor calibration procedure is performed to determine the controller's window of operation. Based on the information collected during the system identification procedure, controller parameters are automatically calculated for a specified time for the sensor to reach a setpoint. A system that is managed and/or controlled by a controller and/or control algorithm is also provided. The disclosed method provides a scheme for parameterization of control algorithms.

摘要： A security system is provided that integrates a unique set of structural features for concealing self-powered sensor and communication devices in aesthetically neutral, or camouflaged, packages that include energy harvesting systems that provide autonomous electrical power to sensors, data processing and wireless communication components in the portable, self-contained packages. Color-matched, image-matched and/or texture-matched optical layers are formed over energy harvesting components, including photovoltaic energy collecting components. Optical layers are tuned to scatter selectable wavelengths of electromagnetic energy back in an incident direction while allowing remaining wavelengths of electromagnetic energy to pass through the layers to the energy collecting components below. The layers uniquely implement optical light scattering techniques to make the layers appear opaque when observed from a light incident side, while allowing at least 50%, and as much as 80+%, of the energy impinging on the energy or incident side to pass through the layer.

System operations are quantitatively assessed in real time and in comparison with an earlier assessment that caused the system repairs to be effected and with available historical data regarding system performance to determine whether the repairs (1) were successfully completed in the manner required, and/or (2) otherwise induced some additional anomalies or difficulties in the HVAC system that should be addressed.

The self-adjusting cummerbund may include a tensioning mechanism configured to allow the cummerbund to extend and retract, and may be configured to provide varying resistive force. The tensioning mechanism may include one or more of a sliding portion, a continuous patterned length of material that is folded over itself, and an elastic member that is attached to the sliding member and the length of material. Body armor plates may be held between outer and inner chest panels and/or between outer and inner back panels. A strip of webbing may be used to secure the body armor plate between the outer and inner panels.

Advantages of the invention, compared with known anti-backlash gearboxes, include: significant weight reductions, reduced complexity, reduced drag, smaller motor sizes, reduced part count, reduced play and backlash. Embodiments of the invention may advantageously provide a lightweight, simple anti-backlash gearing assembly that are particularly suited for use in motorized camera mounts, e.g. pan/tilt heads.
