摘要： Methods in a spectral measurement apparatus are disclosed. Light is received with a plurality of sensors. Each sensor generates an output signal having a frequency proportional to an intensity of light received by the sensor. First, second and third signals are generated each having a frequency proportional to an intensity of light received by a sensor of a wavelength or spectral band. A spectral characteristic of the received light is determined based on at least the first, second and third signals, which are are coupled to a processing element and input in parallel. The spectral characteristic is determined based on measuring a frequency or period of the at least first, second and third signals. Spectral data based on the determined spectral characteristic is generated by the processing element and displayed on a display device for perception by a viewer or transmitted to a data interface for transmission to an electronic device external to the spectral measurement apparatus.

摘要： Optical characteristic measuring systems and methods such as for determining the color or other optical characteristics of teeth are disclosed. Perimeter receiver fiber optics preferably are spaced apart from a source fiber optic and receive light from the surface of the object/tooth being measured. Light from the perimeter fiber optics pass to a variety of filters. The system utilizes the perimeter receiver fiber optics to determine information regarding the height and angle of the probe with respect to the object/tooth being measured. Under processor control, the optical characteristics measurement may be made at a predetermined height and angle. Various color spectral photometer arrangements are disclosed. Translucency, fluorescence, gloss and/or surface texture data also may be obtained. Audio feedback may be provided to guide operator use of the system. The probe may have a removable or shielded tip for contamination prevention. A method of producing dental prostheses based on measured data also is disclosed. Measured data also may be stored and/or organized as part of a patient data base. Such methods and implements may be desirably utilized for purposes of detecting and preventing counterfeiting or the like.

A design description of the electronic device is generated using a computer aided design tool. Physical device data representing a physical description of the electronic device are electronically determined based on the design description. The physical device data includes data defining connection points for connecting the electronic device to external circuits and data identifying a plurality of connection points of the electronic device. A physical embodiment of the electronic device is produced in accordance with the physical device data. Physical test member data representing conductors and contact points of a test member for testing the electronic device are electronically determined. The test member is produced in accordance with the test member data and used to test the electronic device.

摘要： Systems and methods for creating, modifying, interacting with and playing music are provided, particularly systems and methods employing a top-down process, where the user is provided with a musical composition that may be modified and interacted with and played and/or stored (for later play). The system preferably is provided in a handheld form factor (860), and a graphical display is provided to display status information, graphical representations of musical lanes or components which preferably vary in shape as musical parameters and the like are changed for particular instruments or musical components such as a microphone input (845) or audio samples. In addition, the present invention makes use of node-based music generation as part of a system and method to broadcast and receive music data files, which are then used to generate and play music. The present invention is characterized by the broadcast of relatively small data files that contain various parameters sufficient to describe the music to the node/subscriber music generator.

摘要： Optical properties of an object are determined via light provided to the object via a probe tip including a plurality of light source/light receiver pairs. Light is received from a first light source/light receiver pair, and the first light source/light receiver pair is arranged so that a first measurement generates data based on light from the object received from a first average optical depth or first thickness sensitivity. Light is received from a second light source/light receiver pair, and the second light source/light receiver pair is arranged so that a second measurement generates data based on light from the object received from a second average optical depth or a second thickness sensitivity. The second average optical depth is different from the first average optical depth. Optical properties of the object are determined based on the data generated by the first and second measurements.
