摘要： Methods, functional data, and systems are provided for image feature translation. An image is decomposed into sub images, each sub image having its features identified by feature attributes. The feature attributes are used to identify a particular feature within each sub image. The orientation of the particular feature within the sub image is then mapped or calculated to a value. One or more of the mapped or calculated values are translated into a reading associated with an instrument. The reading is then optionally recorded or transmitted.

摘要： A self contained, remotely controlled color television system is disclosed. The system utilizes a small head-mounted television camera having an integral field-of-view illumination system which is adapted to transmit a picture of the operations carried out by the wearer of the camera to be remotely viewed and/or recorded by a third party. The focusing and aiming of the camera is remotely controlled from a console equipped with controls and a television monitor. The illumination system utilizes a dual beam such that both the transmitted picture and the work carried on by the wearer are illuminated virtually without shadows and without interference to the field of view of the wearer. A second stationary mounted camera may be added to the system to provide additional coverage. Video imagery produced by the system is of a high quality which makes it quite useful for teaching and demonstrating such things as delicate surgical procedures of the type often found in dental, abdominal, cardio-vascular and neurosurgery.

摘要： A vacuum actuated device is provided for opening a pincer clip that is normally retained by a spring in a closed, grasping position. A bellows is connected for movement with two opposing finger gripping portions of the clip that are separated from one another by means of a compression spring. One end of the bellows is provided with an atmospheric exhaust port that passes through one of the finger gripping portions of the clip. A second port leading from the interior of the bellows is formed in the other finger gripping portion that is connected to a vacuum pump. The atmospheric exhaust port is closed by the placement of an operator''s finger over this port to thereby allow the vacuum pump to evacuate the air in the bellows and cause the bellows to collapse. The ends of the bellows and their associated finger gripping portions move toward one another, against the smaller biasing force exerted by the spring, and thereby effect movement at the other ends of the clip into an open, non-grasping position. Removing the operator''s finger from the atmospheric exhaust port allows the biasing force of the spring to return the clip to its normally closed grasping position.
