摘要： The recording operation can be rapidly started and a notification about the operating state during the recording operation can be realized without adding a new component, whereby a target scene of a subject can be recorded reliably. When a video signal captured by a camera unit 10 is compressed and encoded and is recorded on a DV tape, a control unit 100 controls a compression/decompression unit 40 and a tape deck unit 60 to compress and encode the video signal and record as DV data without using compressed data already recorded on the DV tape. In other words, the control unit 100 controls the operation of compressing and encoding video data to be newly recorded in such a manner that compressed data already recorded on the DV tape is not read out, thus reducing the time until recording of the video data on the DV tape is started.

摘要： An image display apparatus comprises a pixel having a drive transistor and a pixel display element which are connected in series between a first power line and a second power line, a holding capacitor connected to a gate electrode of the drive transistor, and a selection transistor connected between a signal line and the gate electrode of the drive transistor. When the selection transistor is turned on, gradation pixel data is written in the holding capacitor from the signal line. The charge of gradation pixel data written in the holding capacitor is discharged for a certain period through the drive transistor, thereafter the charge of the gradation pixel data stored in the holding capacitor is held by floating the gate electrode of the drive transistor.

摘要： A methacrylimide group-containing polymer having improved moldability as well as good heat resistance and transparency is prepared by heat treating a methacrylimide group-containing polymer having imide ring structural units of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrogen, an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkaryl, aralkyl or allyl group 1 to 20 carbon atoms, at a temperature of 190 to 350 C. in the presence of a tertiary amine of the formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently represent an alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or alkaryl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, and two of R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 may be linked to form a ring together with the nitrogen atom.

摘要： A radio telephone system comprises a base unit electrically connected to a wire telephone line and at least one radio telephone set which can be connected to the base unit through a radio communication line. A predetermined threshold value is normally set for the intensity of a received electric field generated in the radio line so that, when the received electric field intensity does not reach the threshold value, for example when the radio telephone set is separated by more than a predetermined distance from the base unit, the radio communication line is automatically cut off. In the radio telephone system, the threshold value for the received electric field intensity can be arbitrarily modified by means of a suitable operating member disposed in the radio telephone set to thereby increase the flexibility of the radio telephone system. The operating member can comprise, of course, an exclusive key switch, a pushbutton switch or the like, or alternatively a dial key or the like previously provided in the radio telephone set may be commonly used also as the operating member.
