摘要： Fibers comprising a first thermoplastic composition having a softening temperature up to 120° C and a curable resin. Also disclosed are compositions comprising a plurality of fibers, with some of the fibers comprising a first thermoplastic composition having a softening temperature up to 120° C and some of the fibers comprising a curable resin. The fibers have an aspect ratio of at least 2:1 and a maximum cross-sectional dimension up to 60 micrometers. Fluid compositions containing the fibers and methods of contacting a subterranean formation using the fibers are also disclosed.

摘要： Fiber aggregate comprising organic polymeric fibers, wherein the organic polymeric fibers have an average length in a range from 2 to 20 millimeters, an average diameter up to 100 micrometer, and comprise at least 75 percent by solid volume of the fiber aggregate, wherein the fiber aggregate has an unrestrained bulk density of at least 0.05 g/cm3, and wherein at least 85% by volume of the fiber aggregate disassociates to provide dispersed fibers. The fiber aggregates are useful, for example, for flowback control in wellbores and reservoirs.

摘要： Fluid compositions and methods of making and using same are described, the fluid compositions comprising at least one solid epoxy particle, at least one epoxy resin curing agent, and at least one type of proppant particles. The methods comprise deploying a fluid composition into a wellbore extending to a subterranean geological formation using pressure sufficient to form a fracture in the subterranean geological formation, and immobilizing at least a portion of the solid epoxy particles and proppant particles in the fracture. Embodiments of the fluid compositions are useful for increasing hydrocarbon production from subterranean geologic formations, and/or controlling solids migration in such formations.

摘要： Low viscosity, radiation curable fluid formulations that can be used advantageously as radiation curable, inks. The formulations are easily prepared for use in ink jet systems. The viscosity of the compositions is low enough so that conventional solvent is not required in order to satisfy the requisite low ink jet viscosity specifications. After curing, the compositions form durable, weatherable, abrasion resistant, printed images on a wide variety of porous and nonporous substrates. The formulations are very suitable for outdoor printing applications, especially for printing outdoor graphics onto a variety of surfaces, including vinyl or other polymer films commonly used for signage, retroreflective signage or other retroreflective items.

Inks are disclosed where the humectant is a sulfonated polyethylene oxide which provides long decap times and fast drying of the printed image. Inks are further disclosed where the dispersant is an alkyl(sulfophenoxy)benzenesulfonic acid or its salt. Such dispersants reduce the agglomeration of pigment particles and reduce or eliminate the deposition of foreign substances on heater elements during the jetting process. A variety of pigments, dispersants, humectants, and aqueous media can be used. Combinations of a sulfonated polyethylene oxide humectant and an alkyl(sulfophenoxy)benzenesulfonic acid (salt) dispersant provide inks with good stability, few kogation problems, long decap times and relatively fast drying times.

摘要： The invention provides novel polyurethanes which can be used in magnetic media binders applications. The polyurethanes comprise multidentate chelating functional groups pendant from the polymer backbone, which groups are produced by esterification of backbone hydroxyl moieties with cyclic dicarboxylic acid anhydrides which also bear an additional polar functional group such as those selected from the group consisting of --H, --OH, --COOM, --SO.sub.3 M, --SH, --CH.sub.2 COOM, --SCH.sub.2 COOM, --P(=O)(OM).sub.2, --OP(=O)(OM).sub.2, and the like. Examples of anhydrides useful in preparation of the polyurethanes include anhydrides of citric acid, mercaptosuccinic acid, dimercaptosuccinic acid and nitrilotriacetic acid. The polyurethanes, which are optionally radiation curable, show high affinity for magnetic pigments, and blends of the polyurethanes with vinyl resins afford excellent binders for magnetic recording media.
