摘要： Components, turbochargers, and methods of forming components are provided. In an embodiment, by way of example only, a method of forming a component is provided. The method includes applying a plurality of coated particles to a substrate, wherein each coated particle comprises a solid film lubricant particle and a layer surrounding an entire surface of the solid film lubricant particle, each solid film lubricant particle comprises at least one compound, and the layer comprises a coating material having a greater resistance to oxidation than the compound when subjected to a predetermined processing temperature and heating the substrate to the predetermined processing temperature to form a portion of a coating over the substrate.

摘要： Methods for producing a high temperature oxidation resistant coating on a superalloy component and the coated superalloy component produced thereby are provided. Aluminum or an aluminum alloy is applied to at least one surface of the superalloy component by electroplating in an ionic liquid aluminum plating bath to form a plated component. The plated component is heat treated at a first temperature of about 600° C. to about 650° C. and then further heat treated at a second temperature of about 700° C. to about 1050° C. for about 0.50 hours to about two hours or at a second temperature of about 750° C. to about 900° C. for about 12 to about 20 hours.

A conductor layer can be printed and fired upon the substrate and over the array of potentiometer components. Thereafter, a thick film layer can be configured upon the substrate. Each potentiometer component can then be laser trimmed from among the plurality of potentiometer components in order to obtain a proper resistance and linearity for each potentiometer component thereof, thereby forming a potentiometer apparatus from each potentiometer among the potentiometer components. The resulting potentiometer apparatus thus constitutes an advanced thick-film (ATF) potentiometer.

The strain gage sensor includes two active resistors, two passive resistors, and a structure for minimizing strain experienced by the two passive resistors. The active and passive resistors are attached in a Wheatstone bridge configuration and are Piezoresistors. The active resistors and the strain minimizing structures are mounted on the backing plate. The backing plate or the strain minimizing structure includes alumina ceramic substrate. A voltage to current converter circuit is attached to the active and passive resistors and mounted to the backing plate. Multiple Wheatstone bridge circuits or multiple Wheatstone bridge circuits with voltage to current converter circuits are manufactured on a single backing plate and separated prior to use.
