摘要： Substantially defect-free titanium aluminide components and methods are provided for manufacturing the same from articles formed by consolidation processes. The method includes providing an intermediate article comprised of a titanium aluminide alloy and formed by a consolidation process. The intermediate article is encapsulated with an aluminum-containing encapsulation layer. The intermediate article is compacted after the encapsulation step. A substantially defect-free titanium aluminide component comprises a compacted three-dimensional article comprised of titanium aluminide and formed by a consolidation process and an aluminum-containing encapsulation layer on at least one surface of the compacted three-dimensional article. The aluminum-containing encapsulation layer comprises an aluminide material, MCrAlY wherein M is cobalt, nickel, or a combination of cobalt and nickel, or TiAlCr.

In one embodiment, the method for manufacturing an electromagnetic coil assembly includes the steps of providing a braided aluminum lead wire having a first end portion and a second end portion, brazing the first end portion of the braided aluminum lead wire to a first electrically-conductive interconnect member, and winding a magnet wire into an electromagnetic coil. The second end portion of the braided aluminum lead wire is joined to the magnet wire after the step of brazing.

The excitation coil is adapted to be electrically excited with an excitation signal, and has a first end and a second end. The output coil includes a first coil and a second coil and is inductively coupled to the excitation coil upon electrical excitation thereof the excitation coil. The first end of the first coil is electrically connected to the second end of the second coil and to the second end of the excitation coil, and the second end of the first coil is electrically connected to the first end of the second coil. The output coil is configured, when it is balanced and the excitation coil is being electrically excited, to supply a null output signal.

摘要： Methods and compositions that reduce complexity of libraries of variant biological molecules, that reduce oversampling of these libraries during screening and that improve screening efficiency are provided. Sets of efficient degenerate codon sets are provided that efficiently encode all, or nearly all canonical amino acids. Degenerate oligonucleotides comprising these codons are provided, as are polynucleotide variants. Variant pooling strategies are used during library construction. Logical filtering is applied to select codon sites for mutagenesis, or to select amino acid sets to be incorporated at such sites. Methods for reducing non-optimal oversampling during screening are provided.
