    • An X-ray diagnostics installation with spatial frequency high-pass filtering has an X-ray tube, in image intensifier video chain, first and second image memories, and a difference stage for subtracting images in the memories and thereby forming a difference signal between first video signals and chronologically succeeding second video signals. The resulting image is displayed on a monitor. The installation further has a control unit for controlling the size of the tube focus. A video signal for an X-ray exposure produced using a first size of the tube focus is entered into one of the memories, and this signal is subtracted in the difference stage from a video signal for an X-ray exposure produced with a second size of the tube focus.

    • An x-ray diagnostics installation has an x-ray image intensifier video chain which includes a semiconductor detector composed of pixels arranged in a matrix, serving as the video pick-up and a detector for identifying the average image brightness at the output luminescence screen of the x-ray image intensifier within a predetermined image region. A first read-out circuit is provided for pixels of a first group in the image, which is operated with a read-out clock at a first frequency, and a second read-out circuit is provided for pixels of a second group distributed over the area of the semiconductor detector, which is operated with a read-out clock at a second frequency. The second frequency is higher than the first frequency. The output signals of the pixels of the second group are supplied to an evaluation circuit, and the output signals of the first group of pixels are supplied to the video chain. Image production parameters, such as image brightness, can be controlled on the basis of the output signals of the second group of pixels.

    • For angiographic X-ray examinations with an image intensifier-television installation, three image memories are connected to a control generator which in respective clock pulse intervals cyclically places a respective one of the image memories in the write state for the purpose of storage of a current video signal which is averaged over several images. A subtraction device for the subtraction of image data occurring at various times receives the current video signal and the output signal of the one image memory in the write state. Connected to the subtraction device is a maximum detector which recognizes the maximum of the contrast medium flow and in response thereto actuates the control generator to cause the image memory which was last in the write state, and the image memory with the chronologically oldest video signal to be switched to the read state and to produce a difference signal for display on a video display based on the readout from such image memories.

    • An X-ray diagnostic installation has an X-ray tube which emits a fan-shaped radiation beam which is directed through a movable diaphragm for sweeping the beam over a subject. The fluorescopic image resulting therefrom is supplied to an image intensifier which is coupled to a picture recording device which is connected to a display unit for displaying the radiation profile impringing on the image intensifier. The image recording device contains a solid state image converter which is oriented with respect to the fluorescent screen of the image intensifier. A control unit 17 controls the transmission of the image from the image intensifier to the solid state image converter such that the linear image on the fluorescent screen of the image intensifier, during movement of the X-ray beam, is always detected by the recording region of the solid state image converter.

    • An exemplary embodiment includes an image intensifier television chain with an x-ray image intensifier, an optoelectronic image converter and a monitor, and in which the transmission proceeds according to an interlaced method. For the x-ray image intensifier a deflection device is provided which, synchronously with the image scanning frequency generated by a clock pulse generator periodically effects a slight displacement of the x-ray image intensifier output image such that the displacement proceeds in a vertical and in a horizontal direction by half the spacing of the image elements of the image converter, and whereby two successive fields, respectively, are displayed on the monitor displaced corresponding to the displacement of the image intensifier output images.
