摘要： A musical instrument pitch changing apparatus for a musical instrument having at least a first and second string is disclosed. The apparatus includes a bender lever pivotally secured to the musical instrument, a rocker arm pivotally secured to the instrument for varying the tension in the first string in response to movement of the bender lever between the first and second positions. A rocker arm mount secures the rocker arm to the first selected string in a first bending configuration or to the second selected string in a second bending configuration. The rocker arm is movable between the first selected string and the second selected string of the musical instrument.

摘要： The application describes methods and apparatus for distributed fiber sensing, especially distributed acoustic/strain sensing. The method involves launching at least first and second pulse pairs into an optical fiber, the first and second pulse pairs having the same frequency configuration as one another and being generated such that the phase relationship of the pulses of the first pulse pair has a predetermined relative phase difference to the phase relationship of the pulses of the second pulse pair. In one embodiment there is a frequency difference between the pulses in a pulse pair which is related to the launch rate of the pulse pairs. In another embodiment the phase difference between the pulses in a pair is varied between successive launches. In this way an analytic version of the backscatter interference signal can be generated within the baseband of the sensor.

摘要： In an embodiment of the invention, aqueous growth medium in a pond can be used to grow algae which can be pumped to a primary dewatering device where the algae can be separated from the harvested growth media based on the flow of the harvested growth media and gravity. The flow through the primary de-watering device can be optimized to maintain log phase growth in the pond, while minimizing the pumping cost and maximizing the concentration of total solids in the primary de-watered algae.

摘要： The invention provides a method of processing distributable computer readable media in a client/server computer system in a manner specified by a user. The method includes the steps of providing a login construct to a client computer from a server computer. A server computer accepts a login identifier from the client computer that corresponds to the user. The login identifier is used to locate an unprocessed user profile associated with the login identifier in a user profile database when the unprocessed user profile exists. A home networked information monitor is delivered to the client computer in accordance with instructions in a processed user profile. The home networked information monitor is capable of accessing each networked information monitor associated with the login identifier. Each networked information monitor is capable of processing distributable computer readable media.

摘要： A dual valve water discharge system is a system through which the user is able to select the volume of water used when flushing liquid waste and/or solid waste. The system features a drain flap with a flow through hole that restricts the flow of water entering a tank drain. The drain flap is covered by a flow rate control flap that is lifted to expose the flow through hole. The drain flap may be lifted as well, in turn lifting the flow rate control flap and allowing unrestricted flow into the tank drain. The flush volume is selected by lifting a flush handle upward or pressing the flush handle downward. The flush handle is connected to a flush lever which is in turn connected to a first cord and a second cord that are able to lift the drain flap and the flow rate control flap.
