摘要： A color perception test has a color matching processor that executes a color matching processing on a color monitor, and an image display controller that displays two or more images for color perception test in order on the color monitor on which the color matching processing was done. When displaying each image for color perception test, a color perception test is done in a state that one of its hue, brightness, saturation and display time is changed and the other elements are fixed. Since the color perception tester has the color matching processor, colors of the image are not changed with passage of time different from color printed one, and correct test can be done thereby. If the test is periodically done on some examinee, a degree of decreasing color perception function by aging can be exactly known.

摘要： A direct injection engine includes an ignition assistance section applying energy to fuel injected into a cylinder using an injector to assist auto-ignition combustion of the fuel when the engine is within an auto-ignition combustion operation range. A start time of fuel injection is set within a period from a terminal stage of a compression stroke to a compression top dead center. The energy is applied to the fuel injected into the cylinder in a period from start of the fuel injection to an initial stage of an expansion stroke such that a time of a specific crank angle when an increase rate of in-cylinder pressure, which is a ratio of a change in the in-cylinder pressure to a change in a crank angle in motoring the engine, reaches a negative maximum value overlaps a combustion period when a combustion mass percentage of the fuel ranges from 10% to 90%.

摘要： A speaker system has a first baffle (2) supporting a first speaker unit for producing sounds in a first frequency range (low frequencies), at least one second baffle (27L), (27R) supporting a second speaker unit for producing sounds in a second frequency range which is higher than the first frequency range (middle and/or high frequencies), the second baffles (27L), (27R) being smaller than the first baffles (2). The second baffle (27L), (27R) are spaced a predetermined distance from the first baffle (2). The speaker system has a reduced baffle effect, and increases direct sounds radiated directly from the speaker units, as compared with indirect sounds radiated backwards from a baffle, thereby improving frequency characteristics in the middle frequencies and providing excellent sound image localization.

The entire portion of the blade or at least part of the incision-forming portion which is inserted into the cornea of an eyeball has an arcuate cross section. By using the ophthalmologic knife, a three-dimensional incision having an arcuate cross section is formed in the cornea or the like. When a three-dimensional object having a cylindrical cross section or the like is inserted into the incision, the convex portion surrounded by the incision is bent toward the inside of the eyeball. This allows smooth insertion of the object.

摘要： An a.c. voltage regulator includes a three terminal thyristor connected across an a.c. power source in series with a load. The thyristor is associated with a time constant circuit comprising a variable resistor and a capacitor and which is connected therewith through a trigger pulse generating element, thus providing a phase control over the conduction of the thyristor. A voltage divider is connected across the main terminals of the thyristor, namely, those terminals excluding the gate terminal, and is connected with gate terminal through a capacitor and is also connected with the time constant circuit through the trigger pulse producing element. A constant voltage diode is connected across the time constant circuit.
