摘要： A pipe or tube article is disclosed that comprises an innermost layer having a thickness of about 0.001 to about 102 mm (0.00004 to 4 inches) comprising a polymeric composition comprising a terionomer composition made from a parent acid terpolymer composition made from an α-olefin having 2 to 10 carbons; about 12 to about 60 wt % of an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid ester; and about 5 to about 25 wt % of an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 8 carbons (based on the total weight of the parent acid terpolymer); wherein about 5 to about 90% of the carboxylic acids are neutralized with a metal ion to provide long lifetime, highly abrasion-resistant pipes for mining and other transportation uses. Methods for preparing the article and transporting abrasive materials through the article are also described.

摘要： The present invention provides a method for coating a thermoplastic composite comprising the steps of: i) providing a thermoplastic powder coating composition comprising one or more functionalized polyolefins selected from the group consisting of functionalized polyethylenes, functionalized polypropylenes, ethylene acid copolymers, ionomer resins, functionalized ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers and functionalized ethylene alkyl(meth)acrylate copolymers, and ii) applying the thermoplastic powder coating composition to the thermoplastic composite to form a powder coating on the thermoplastic composite. The method according to the invention provides a strong adhesion of the thermoplastic powder coating onto the thermoplastic composite, a high scratch and scuff resistance as well as a surface appearance of a high quality finish and outdoor performance.

Methods for preparing the article and transporting abrasive materials through the article are also described.
