    • The present invention relates to an endoscope system including: a real time clock; an interface for receiving medical information output from a peripheral device; and a control unit that adjusts clock information added to the received medical information into clock information of the real time clock when the peripheral device adds the clock information to the medical information, and adds clock information of the real time clock at a time of receiving to the received medical information when the peripheral device does not add the clock information to the medical information. According to the invention, even the medical information obtained from the different devices can be reproduced with data from the respective devices synchronized by associating the clock information based on the identical real time clock therewith. Consequently, even after the surgical operation, the contents of treatment performed during the surgical operation can be accurately reproduced.

    • This is a converter which converts communication methods and/or protocols in order to enable communications between at least one medical equipment (ME) and a medical support control device (MSCD), comprising: a first communication interface corresponding to a communication interface of the MSCD; a plurality of second communication interfaces corresponding to a communication interface of each piece of ME in order to connect the MSCD and a plurality of pieces of ME whose communication methods and/or protocols are different; a determination unit for determining whether a communication connection can be established between each of the plurality of pieces of ME connected through the second communication interface and the converter; and a communication control unit for obtaining a difference between the communication program corresponding to the ME and the connection program and converting the communication protocols of the ME and the MSCD with each other.

    • A remote control device controls a medical device or a medical control device for controlling the medical device by infrared light communication, and includes: an infrared light emission unit for emitting infrared light for performing infrared light communication; a control unit for allowing the infrared light emission unit to emit first infrared light for conveying control information for control of the medical device, and second infrared light conveying predetermined information and having a frequency different from that of the first infrared light; and an infrared light reception unit for receiving the infrared light emitted from the infrared light emission unit. The control unit determines whether or not the infrared light received by the infrared light reception unit is the second infrared light.
