    • An image capturing device includes a first controller operable to control image capturing; an operation section including a switch; a detector operable to detect a change to an image capturing mode and to send a signal representing the change; a second controller operable to monitor and process the sent signal, the second controller having a power consumption less than that of the first controller; and a power supply operable to supply power to the first controller, the second controller, and a functional section of the device. When the second controller receives the signal sent from the detecting section in a power saving state in which power is supplied from the power supply to the second controller, the power saving state is changed to a power supplying state capable of image capturing by supplying power from the power supply to portions of the device including the first controller.

    • An address data accessing device is used with a reproducing apparatus which reproduces recorded signals from a rotary recording medium which is time-sequentially recorded with a plurality of kinds of information signals, a time address signal, and a chapter address signal. The address data accessing device comprises an instruction decoder supplied with an information signal selecting instruction data when selectively reproducing one kind of information signal from among the plurality of kinds of information signals which are reproduced from the recording medium, an address data fetch circuit for fetching and producing one of the time address signal and the chapter address signal which are reproduced, and a switch circuit for switching and producing one of an output signal of the instruction decoder and a signal from the address data fetch circuit in response to another output signal of the instruction decoder, and for applying an output signal thereof to the address data fetch circuit. The address data fetch circuit alternately fetches and produces the time address signal and the chapter address signal under control of the output signal of the switch circuit.

    • A reproducing apparatus comprises a reproducing circuit including a pickup reproducing element, for reproducing recorded signals from a rotary recording medium, an address signal reproducing circuit for reproducing a track shift address signal from the signals which are reproduced by the reproducing circuit, a detecting circuit for detecting whether the address signal is reproduced with a predetermined period, a memory for storing the value of the reproduced address signal or a flag which is related to the value of the reproduced address signal, when the detecting circuit detects that the address singal is reproduced with the predetermined period, and a circuit for generating a control signal which causes the pickup reproducing element to undergo a forced track shift at predetermined positions on the tracks so that the pickup reproducing element scans along a scanning locus which has the same periodicity as the scanning locus along which the pickup reproducing element had been scanning up to that point. The control signal is generated based on the value of the reproduced address signal when the detecting circuit detects that the address signal is reproduced with the predetermined period, and based on one or a plurality of values which are pre-stored in the memory when the detecting circuit detects that the address signal is not reproduced with the predetermined period.

The rotary recording medium reproducing apparatus comprises a rotary recording medium supporting member for supporting the rotary recording medium left within the reproducing apparatus so that the rotary recording medium is supported above a turntable by an operation in which the case is inserted into and then extracted from the reproducing apparatus, a driving source for operating in one direction to raise the rotary recording medium supporting member and operating in a reverse direction to lower the rotary recording medium supporting member, and a control circuit for controlling the driving source to operate in the one direction when the control circuit detects the insertion of the jacket into the reproducing apparatus in a state where the rotary recording medium is supported by the supporting member and is being lowered with the supporting member operated by the driving source which is operating in the reverse direction.
