    • In an elevator apparatus, a brake control device has a first brake control portion, a second brake control portion, and a third brake control portion. The first brake control portion operates a hoisting machine brake to stop a ascending/descending body as an emergency measure when an abnormality is detected. The second brake control portion reduces a braking force of the hoisting machine brake when a deceleration of the ascending/descending body becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined value during an emergency braking operation of the hoisting machine brake. The third brake control portion monitors a slip speed of a main rope with respect to a drive sheave during emergency braking operation of the hoisting machine brake, and reduces a braking force of the hoisting machine brake when the slip speed of the main rope becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined value.

    • In an elevator device, a signal diagnosis device includes: a signal input section to which a sensor signal from a sensor is input; a disconnection detecting section for outputting a diagnosis signal for detecting disconnection to the sensor and detecting a state of a signal turned back at the sensor to be input so as to detect whether or not disconnection of the signal from the sensor occurs; a switch for turning ON/OFF an input of the signal to the disconnection detecting section; and a disconnection-detection diagnosis section for operating the switch to diagnose whether or not the disconnection detecting section functions normally. Further, a car is stopped when occurrence of the disconnection is determined by the signal diagnosis device or when an abnormality is detected by the disconnection-detection diagnosis section.

    • An elevator control device that drives a cage in a high-efficient speed pattern without using a load detector such as a conventional scale device. The elevator control device includes: a current detector for detecting a current that is supplied to a motor from an inverter; a speed detector for detecting a rotation speed of the motor; a speed pattern generator for generating an elevator speed pattern a motor speed control device for controlling the speed so that a speed detection value follows a speed command value of the speed pattern; and a motor current control device for controlling a current that is supplied to the motor with respect to the inverter by using a current detection value and the speed detection value on the basis of the speed command value. The motor current control device has a duty detector for detecting a duty that is a ratio of an on-time of the inverter within a given sampling period, and the speed pattern generator changes the speed pattern of the motor based on a duty detection value detected by the duty detector.
