摘要： Methods, systems, and configured storage media are provided for discovering software updates, discovering if a given computer can use the software update, and then updating the computers with the software as needed automatically across a network without storing the updates on an intermediate machine within the network. Furthermore, when a failure is detected, the rollout is stopped and the software can be automatically removed from those computers that already were updated. The software update can be stored originally at an address that is inaccessible through the network firewall by intermediately uploading the software update to an update computer which is not a part of the network but has access through the firewall, which is then used to distribute the update.

摘要： A modular satellite transceiver is provided according to some embodiments of the disclosure. The modular transceiver may include an RF module and a back end module. The RF module may operate in a first band, and may include, for example, one or more antennas, an RF front end module, an up converter, a down converter, an analog-to-digital converter, and a digital-to-analog converter. The back end module may include various digital processing components and/or modules. The RF module may be removably coupled with the back end module such that the RF module may be replaced with another RF module operating in a second band. During transmission the back end module may provide at least one digital signal to the RF module; and during reception the RF module provides at least one digital signal to the back end module.

摘要： A modified test tube is provided which can sit on any flat surface unaided by a test tube rack. The modified test tube is an elongate, substantially tubular member having a containment portion coupled to the neck portion. The containment portion has a bottom surface and a closed end. The neck portion is angled relative to the flattened surface and has a mouth. A sloped surface is provided at the interior of the tubular member coextensive with the flattened surface. The bottom surface of the modified test tube enables the test tube to sit prone on any flat surface by itself, unaided by a rack, and the bent neck portion prevents the contents from spilling from the test tube. This design enables the contents within the test tube to be easily monitored without moving the test tube.
