摘要： A sheet handling apparatus is provided, which is comprised of a plurality of inserter trays for stacking thereon insert sheets to be inserted between recording sheets having images formed thereon. Sheet feeding modes for feeding insert sheets include two kinds, i.e. S-stacking mode and F-stacking mode, that can be set by a mode key displayed on a sheet feeding mode setting screen view. In the S-stacking mode, only first-page insert sheets are stacked on a first inserter tray, and only second-page insert sheets and third-page insert sheets are stacked on second and third inserter trays, respectively. In the F-stacking mode, insert sheets are stacked in order of page on an inserter tray. Sheet feeding is suitably controlled by stacking insert sheets on inserter trays in manners corresponding to respective selected stacking modes.

摘要： An image processing apparatus comprises: an inserting unit to insert a memory medium such as IC card or floppy disc which can be freely attached or detached and in which programs to control the image processing apparatus have been stored; a memory to store the program which has been read out from the memory medium and kind data indicative of the kind of program; a loading circuit to load the program stored in the memory medium into the memory; and a control unit to control the image processing apparatus in accordance with the program stored in the memory. In the case where the program has already been stored in the memory, the control unit controls the loading circuit in a manner such that when the kind data stored in the memory is the data indicative of a special program, the loading of the program from the memory medium to the memory is inhibited and, when the kind data stored in the memory is not the data indicative of the special program, the loading of the program from the memory medium to the memory is executed.

摘要： When the user depresses a soft key SW in an on-state of a door switch DSW in which a door is closed, a transistor Tr1 is turned on, a transistor Tr4 is turned on, a relay RL1 is turned on, and an AC power source is supplied to an image forming apparatus. When a jam occurs, a CPU 2 turns on a transistor Tr5 for a predetermined time and a latching relay RL2 is driven to the holding side. When the door is opened for a jam process, the door switch DSW is opened and the AC power drops. When the door is closed after the jam process, the door switch DSW is closed. In this instance, since the latching relay RL2 is in a holding state, the AC power is again supplied in a manner similar to the case where the soft key SW is depressed. When the jam cancellation is confirmed, the holding of the latching relay RL2 is cancelled and the ordinary operation is started.
