摘要： A touch panel includes a ring-like shaped light-transmissive portion. A ring-shaped diffusion surface is formed on the bottom surface of a light guide element. The ring-like shape includes a second region provided at a location corresponding to two light sources adjacent to a first region corresponding to one light source. A distance from a location of the ring-shaped light-transmissive portion to a periphery of the ring close to the light source is greater in the second region than in the first region. Light emitted from the light source and incident to the light guide element is diffusion-reflected on the diffusion surface and a part of the diffusion-reflected light illuminates the light-transmissive portion.

摘要： An ink ribbon cassette includes a supply side ribbon spool, a take-up side ribbon spool, a cassette case containing therein the supply side and take-up side ribbon spools and pivotably supporting at least the take-up side ribbon spool through a lever member and having an opening through which an outside feed tooth may mesh with the take-up side ribbon spool. A support portion provided in the opening for contacting the peripheral surface of the take-up side ribbon spool prevents the take-up side ribbon spool from protruding outwardly, and a biasing device impart a rotational force to the lever member so that the take-up side ribbon spool is urged against the support portion.

摘要： On a bottom surface of a light guide element, a reflection portion is formed in a first region thereof, which is close to a light source, and a first diffusion surface is formed in a second region of the bottom surface of the light guide element, which is a region distant from the light source. A light-incident side of the light guide element is a non-diffusion surface. Sides other than the light-incident side are second diffusion surfaces. Light that has been emitted from the light source and incident to the light guide element via the light-incident side is totally reflected and is then guided to the first and the second diffusion surfaces and a part of diffusion-reflected light illuminates the light-transmissive portion of the panel.

摘要： The present invention provides an ink jet printing apparatus including feeding structure for feeding a print medium into the printing apparatus, conveying structure for conveying the print medium fed by the feeding structure to a position where printing head can carry out printing, and scanning structure for moving and scanning a carriage to a position where the printing head can be subjected to preliminary ejection, wherein a paper feeding and conveying operation is performed simultaneously with a preliminary ejecting operation of a print head, while not all of the feeding structure, conveying structure, and scanning structure are simultaneously driven. Therefore, by providing a power supply capacity sufficient to drive two of the three structures, it is possible to cause the print head to perform a preliminary ejecting operation without suspending the operation of feeding and conveying the print medium.

摘要： This invention provides a small and simple construction to drive a mechanism for maintaining a printing performance of a print head. In one preferred mode of the invention, a recovery device to maintain the printing performance of the print head has a suction pump unit, a capping unit and a wiping unit. The suction pump unit is driven through a spring clutch mechanism by an LF motor in the print sheet transport unit as a drive source. The capping unit and the wiping unit are driven by an AP motor as a drive source in a rotary dead zone set for a paper feed unit that feeds the print sheet to a transport unit. A piston pump is suited for use in a recovery operation to maintain the function of the print head.

摘要： An ink ribbon cassette with two projecting arms between which an ink ribbon is held exposed for printing. The cassette has a positioning slit in one of the arms, extended perpendicular to the running direction of the ink ribbon, and two side fixing projections. The former fixes the cassette in the running direction of the ribbon while the latter fix the cassette in the vertical direction, thus securing improved mounting of the cassette and preventing undesirable movement of the cassette.
