A set of incident handling actions are identified based on incident handling rules for an incident type of the incident. From the set of incident handling actions, one incident handling action is identified to be executed based on a set of impact indicators associated with the set of incident handling rules. The identified incident handling action is then executed to address the failure of the resource.

摘要： A method, system and computer program product are disclosed for searching for data. In one embodiment, the invention provides a method comprising identifying a query and a search scope including a set of specified entities; and for each of these entities, estimating a number of documents that would be identified in a search through the entity to answer the query. On the basis of this estimating, a subset of the entities is formed. The query and this subset of entities are sent to a search engine to search the subset of entities to answer the query. In one embodiment, the estimating includes collecting statistical information from queries to build up a historical cache using heuristics or machine learning techniques, wherein the query includes a key word and a scope, and the historical cache contains a maximum number of returned results for an entity given the queries executed.

The method includes measuring resource usage of each of multiple virtual machines on each of at least one hypervisor in a computing environment, upon detection of a resource overload on one of the at least one hypervisor, determining at least one operation that is to be taken for at least one of the multiple virtual machines on the hypervisor to remediate resource overload while increasing values of running virtual machines, and sending a command to the hypervisor to issue the at least one operation.

The method in one aspect uses a machine-readable specification of a model or template that describes use and transformation of data by software components. The method additionally utilizes a model of system configuration and appropriate runtime support to mine information available from systems management software present in enterprise systems. The application-data association discovery process performs a traversal of the distributed system configuration graph with actions taken during this traversal driven by the contents of the templates for the software components present in the system. The results of the application-data association discovery process are stored in a database and may be used to specify application-specific information lifecycle management (ILM) policy or as input to impact analysis tools in access control and antivirus systems.

摘要： A method and system are disclosed that enable a user to search a large collection of structured and unstructured documents using semantic concepts that the system provides to them, to search the most relevant business activity first, and then using one of the business activities as the additional context to search for specific document or documents that are most relevant. One aspect of the invention provides a methodology to perform concept-based structured search over document collections to obtain search results as business activities and associated relevant documents using the business activity context. The document collections are obtained by aggregating documents corresponding to a business activity. The instances are extracted from the document collections together with any concept-relationship specific heuristics in that domain. Another aspect of the invention enables the enterprise user to enter concepts and instances that define the search parameters using a structured user interface.
