    • In a first antenna mode in a multi-antenna port radio access node, a set of logical antenna ports and its associated resource elements are mapped to a first set of physical antenna ports. Each physical antenna port comprises at least one power amplifier. Switching from first antenna mode to a second antenna mode is initiated upon receipt of information triggering antenna mode switching at a first point of time. During a time interval from the first point of time to a second point of time, the logical antenna ports are re-mapped to a second set of physical antenna ports. At the second point of time, at the end of the time interval, the antenna mode is switched to a second antenna mode by changing supply of power to each physical antenna port represented in the first set of physical antenna ports but not in the second set of antenna ports.

    • The present invention relates to an arrangement, a communication network node and a user equipment allowing for probing of alternative antenna configurations in a communication network system as well as a method for such probing. The method comprises making one of the reconfigurable antennas (15a2, 15b2) of at least one cell (19a, 19b) temporarily available for probing and reconfiguring one or more antenna parameters thereof in accordance with a probing antenna parameter set. A new probe cell (20a, 20b) is transmitted from the prepared antenna (15a2, 15b2) and measurement reports collected from the user equipments (18) within the at least one cell (19a, 19b) and the probe cell (20a, 20b). The probing antenna parameter set is evaluated based on the collected measurement reports whereupon is determined if the reconfigurable physical antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) of the cell shall use the probing antenna parameter set or the initial antenna parameter set. Finally the probing cell (20a, 20b) is removed and the antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) adjusted in accordance with the determination.

    • The invention relates to a method of sending control information from a first node to a second node in a communications system providing a plurality of resource units for the transmission of data. The control information is sent by use of a code book comprising at least one code word identifying control information relating to data transmission over a resource unit. The code book is dynamically updated by means of repeatedly transmitting an updated version of code book information from the first node to the second node. The invention also relates to a first communications node comprising means for transmitting control information to a second node. The means for transmitting control information is adapted to transmitting the control information by use of a code book; and to repeatedly transmitting an updated version of code book information in order to achieve that the code book is dynamic.
