    • A composite article assembly arrangement includes an all-in-one assembly station for supporting certain two-workpiece or composite article assembly methodologies with a view toward a preferred lid assembly application. The all-in-one assembly station includes a stationary main base plate, opposed intermediate compactor plates, and opposed outer plates, which compactor plates and outer plates are movable relative to the stationary main base plate. One or more continuous webs bearing thermoformed first and second workpieces are directed through the assembly station, which assembly station operates to both separate the first and second workpieces from the web(s) as directed therethrough and assemble the first and second workpieces in one clapping movement of the compactor plates and outer plates relative to the main base plate. The main base plate comprises an axial alignment chamber or cavity that operates to mechanically or structurally maintain axial alignment of the first and second workpieces during workpiece assembly.

    • A beverage container lid assembly and insert enable a user to selectively control contained beverage movements when outfitted upon a beverage container. The lid assemblies all include a primary lid form having a primary beverage outlet and a secondary lid attachment cooperably engaged with the primary lid form for providing certain beverage flow diversion structure. The secondary lid attachments may be attachable to select surfacing of the primary lid forms for forming a beverage-receiving compartment intermediate the primary lid form and the secondary lid attachment in which compartment heat transfer is effected by the structural characteristics of the defined space. The lid assembly may be attached to a beverage container such that the user may manually position the secondary lid attachment relative to the primary lid form for manually and selectively position beverage flow diversion structures relative to the primary beverage outlet.

    • A hot beverage lid construction is used in combination with a hot beverage container for enhancing the safety of the outfitted beverage container and for selectively cooling the beverage prior to consumption and preventing spillage. The lid construction includes an inner container wall-engaging, lid-to-wall locking structure. The lid construction is outfitted upon a beverage container such that the inner container wall-engaging, lid-to-wall locking structure engages and effectively locks the lid construction to inner container wall surfacing of the beverage container. The lid construction, being outfitted upon the beverage container, defines a lower beverage-receiving compartment and at least one upper beverage flow channel. Each beverage flow channel effectively functions to receive heat from channel-received beverage before the channel-received beverage exits the primary beverage outlet. A bypass element is selectively removable from a lower-inner material layer of the lid construction so as to enable the user to bypass flow channel functionality.

    • An insert assembly is outfitted upon a lidded beverage container for enabling the user to transfer heat from a relatively hot assembly-contained beverage so as to prevent scalding prior to consumption. The insert assembly preferably comprises a damming structure. The damming structure is formed from a semi-rigid material and is sized and shaped for receipt adjacent the upper rim perimeter of a container structure for defining beverage-containing and beverage-cooling compartments. The insert structure comprises first and second apertures for outletting beverage and inletting air intermediate the beverage-containing and beverage-cooling compartments. The beverage-cooling compartment receives heat from the beverage received therewithin and thereby enables the beverage to cool before being outlet via a primary outlet of the lid.
