A multiplexer selects one tuner based upon receiver status of a first tuner. The selected signal is decoded and resized for a display. The decoder uses a frame buffer of images in the resized size. In the preferred embodiment the input signals are a 12-segment HDTV broadcast and a 1-segment QVGA broadcast and the resized size is VGA.

摘要： A disk drive apparatus derives 0-order light and 1-order light from an output laser beam of a single laser source, reads a prepit train on a disk by the 0-order light and the 1-order light to reproduce synchronization signals, generates a first synchronization signal based on the synchronization signal reproduced by the 0-order light, and generates a second clock based on the second synchronization signal reproduced by the 1-order light. The synchronization signal reproduced by the 0-order light is delayed by a delay circuit and a selection circuit selects the synchronization signal reproduced by the 1-order light in a write mode or the synchronization signal produced by the delay circuit in a read mode, to generate the second clock. The first clock is used as a data write clock in the write mode and as a data read clock in the read mode. The second clock is used as the data read clock in the write mode.

摘要： Decoding of image data from a bit stream of encoded image data is performed. The image data was encoded in a selected domain by a transform function. A set of coefficients is extracted from the bit stream, wherein the set of coefficients represent a block of the image data. Each coefficient is compared to a theoretical model of a distribution of the coefficient data representative of the transform function. A decoding error is indicated when a coefficient does not lie within the theoretical model.
